Your photo shoot in Montmartre
This summer, I’ll be photographing the wedding of a couple with a wonderful story. I first met them last year at the top of the hill to capture an incredibly romantic marriage proposal that had taken place the day before. Lionel contacted me through a talented colleague and really liked the idea of having photos taken on the hill by a photographer who lives in the neighborhood. The couple’s photo shoot in Montmartre lasted about an hour—a chance for the lovers to rediscover a neighborhood dear to their hearts. It was also a chance for me to show off my knowledge and share all sorts of little anecdotes about the neighborhood.
I’ve decided to use this session to answer the questions people have about photo shoots in Montmartre.
Are there too many tourists?
Montmartre is a very crowded place, especially during school breaks, for example. To avoid the crowds, it’s best to schedule your photo shoot on a weekday, in the morning, or in the winter, when those who are more sensitive to the cold are reluctant to climb to the top of the hill.
Where will the photos be taken?
We’ll explore a bit of everything, though my goal is to help you discover the Montmartre that Parisians know and love. Let’s leave Place du Tertre and wander down the narrow cobblestone streets so typical of Paris. I’d be happy to share all the little stories I’ve picked up over the past eight years in the 18th arrondissement.
Why have a couples photo shoot in Montmartre?
This is a part of Paris that you may not know very well—or at all—and you’ll want to discover the beauty of this quintessentially Parisian spot.
Because you live there or have lived there, and you want to create lasting memories of this special time in your life.
Because you’re planning your wedding in the 18th arrondissement and want to share on-site photos with your loved ones.
Because you saw my photos and suddenly really, really wanted to take some yourself (I wish!)
Because you’ll soon be leaving your life in Paris behind and want to take a little piece of it with you, wherever you go.
