Documentary wedding photographer

Authentic and natural wedding photography

Are you looking for a wedding photographer in Paris who captures the real moments, without making you pose or interrupting the flow of your day? My approach is both documentary and artistic: I blend into the background, observe, feel the moment, and press the shutter at just the right time. The result? Luminous, authentic images that tell your story exactly as it unfolded, and that will move you just as much in 30 years as they do today.

What exactly is wedding photography?

No stiff poses. Just be yourself.

A documentary photographer doesn’t direct; she simply captures the moment. No “smile,” no “do that again,” no staged poses. I’m there to capture what happens naturally: the hand that clasped without a second thought, the glance you exchange during the ceremony, the tears that well up unexpectedly, the bursts of laughter at the table.

My style is similar to wedding documentary photography, a genre that treats weddings first and foremost as a human story. In France, there are still very few wedding photographers in Paris who truly work in this style. That’s what defines me, and it’s what my couples are looking for when they contact me. How I guide you without ever making you pose!

The details that tell the whole story

A documentary-style photo report also means having an eye for the little things you might not have noticed that day: a hand trembling as the wedding ring is slipped on, the wind in your veil, a child falling asleep under a table, a little note slipped into a pocket. These unseen moments make up the living memory of your wedding—tender, authentic, and timeless.

"The moments we forget and love to rediscover"

Psst: I’m so excited to be one of the 50 wedding photographers selected by Les filles fidèles! By the way, if you decide to go through them for a gorgeous dress, tell them I sent you—you might just get a little gift!

Why choose a documentary style for your wedding in Paris?

For photos that truly capture who you are

Couples who choose me often say the same thing: "We didn't want stock photos." They want to see themselves in their photos. They want to capture the atmosphere, the emotions, and the people they love—not a polished version of their day.

Documentary-style photography promises that your photos will be unique—just like your wedding. No two of my galleries are alike.

For high-end weddings that deserve a unique touch

An elegant wedding, meticulously planned down to the smallest detail, deserves a photographer who can capture its depth—not just its surface. My artistic approach focuses on light, composition, and the genuine emotion behind the stunning setting. Each image is conceived as a work of art, not merely as documentation.

For bilingual and international weddings in Paris

A Franco-British native with a Master’s degree in Visual Arts from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, I am equally comfortable working in both French and English. I understand the customs of both cultures, which makes all the difference during a bilingual ceremony or an international wedding in Paris.

What is the process like for a wedding photo shoot with me?

Before the wedding: getting to know each other

Before your big day, I’ll send you a questionnaire. This isn’t just a formality—it’s a genuine opportunity for me to listen to you. Your answers help me understand the flow of your day, the locations, your loved ones, and what matters most to you, so I can be in the right place at the right time, without ever interrupting.

You can also opt for a pre-wedding couple's photo shoot —a precious opportunity to get comfortable in front of the camera and build a real connection with us before the big day.

On the big day: there but not intrusive

On your wedding day, you’ll hardly notice me. I blend in with your guests, anticipate the moments, and capture everything that happens—from the preparations to the final dance. Discreet, attentive, and always in the right place.

I cover all types of weddings: from civil ceremonies in Paris to large-scale events with hundreds of guests, as well as intimate gatherings and non-religious weddings.

After the Wedding: Memories to Last a Lifetime

You’ll receive a private online gallery within 8 weeks of your wedding, carefully curated and in high resolution. A preview will be sent to you within 72 hours. Photo albums made in France are also available so you can hold your memories in your hands.

Wedding photographer in Paris — and far beyond

Based at the foot of Montmartre Hill in the 18th arrondissement, I work with couples throughout France and internationally. I travel by train to cover weddings in regional areas—Provence, the French Riviera, Brittany, the Southwest, Toulouse, Île de Ré, Yvelines, and Hauts-de-Seine—and, of course, throughout Paris and the Île-de-France region.
