Winter Newborn Photoshoot in Paris: Putting Intimacy Back at the Center
Outside, it’s cold and night falls early. Inside, there’s a newborn, some blankets, a cup of tea cooling on the nightstand, and a family getting to know each other. For me, winter is the perfect season for a newborn photo shoot in Paris. It’s a time when we draw closer together, slow down, and let intimacy take center stage.
Winter, the season of intimacy
The first few weeks with a baby are spent at home, often in pajamas and without really knowing what day it is. In winter, this is even more true. We don’t go out much; we stay warm and spend hours on the couch with our baby snuggled up against us.
That’s exactly what I love to photograph. Skin-to-skin contact under a cozy blanket. Tiny hands clutching Mom’s finger. The first bath, in a steamy bathroom. A cuddle for three under the comforter, while the rain beats against the window. These moments are fleeting, and we quickly forget them amid the exhaustion of those first few weeks.
A newborn photo shoot at home in Paris
I'll come to your home in Paris and photograph your family just as you are. I won't ask you to pose—I'll let you enjoy the moment, and I'll stay in the background.
During the session, the baby calls the shots. If the baby cries, there’s time to comfort him or her, and if the baby is hungry, he or she eats. A feeding, a diaper change, and a nap on Dad’s belly are all part of your story, and I photograph them with the same care.
I work exclusively with natural light. In winter, the light is low and soft, and it streams in from the side through the windows. It’s a type of light that really suits newborns and Parisian interiors.
Why don't we always think of that?
With a newborn, you don't always know what to do with your days, and a photo shoot is rarely on your mind. You tell yourself you'll do it later, in the spring, when the weather is nice. But by spring, the baby will have already changed: his hands will be bigger, his features will have changed, and those first few weeks will be gone.
A winter newborn photo shoot is a chance to create precious memories while enjoying a special moment with your family—all without leaving home.
What's a winter newborn photo shoot like?
Before the session, we’ll talk about your baby, your daily routine, and what you’d like to capture in the photos. On the day of the session, I’ll come to your home for 1 hour and 30 minutes. You don’t need to prepare anything special—just tidy up a bit, and I’ll work with the lighting in your apartment. Afterward, you’ll receive your curated and retouched photos, along with a few behind-the-scenes shots from the session.

Frequently Asked Questions
When should you schedule a newborn photo shoot?
During the first few weeks, whenever you feel ready. Every family moves at its own pace, and we’ll set the date together.
Does the session take place at our place?
Yes, I come to your home within Paris. Travel fees apply outside of Paris.
What if the baby cries or wakes up during the session?
That's not a problem. We'll take as much time as needed, and those moments often end up being some of the most touching photos.
Can you give a newborn photo shoot as a gift?
Yes, the photo shoot is available as a gift card, valid for 1 year. It’s a lovely idea for a baby shower or Christmas gift for expectant parents. All my gift ideas are in this article.
