Natural wedding photographer

Dear bride and groom

First and foremost, I wanted to thank you, because if you’re reading this short message, it means that at some point you liked my work. Before I tell you about your big day, let me introduce myself.

Who am I?

My name is Jennifer Buckle; I’m a Franco-British photographer based in Paris. I specialize in lifestyle photography, particularly weddings and all stages of motherhood. I travel throughout Europe as long as I can get there by train.

I take a very journalistic approach to wedding photography. I love telling a story through my photos. Capturing your various emotions—the tears of joy from your loved ones, the children’s laughter, or the warm embraces—is essential to me.

I love simplicity and love, and I approach all my photo shoots with great empathy.

If you’re familiar with my work, you may have noticed that I have a real affinity for black and white. This technique allows me to highlight details, expressions, and contrasts. So don’t be surprised when you receive your wedding photos to find many of them in black and white.

My rates are affordable for everyone; I believe that trust is one of the key elements in the relationship between a photographer and the couple. With this in mind, I strive to be as transparent as possible. You can view my different packages by clicking below.

Travel

I travel throughout France and Europe, as long as I can get there by train. I try to find the most convenient and affordable way to get to your wedding venue.

Accommodation

If your wedding is more than an hour and a half away from Paris, I ask to be accommodated near the venue the night before and on the evening of the wedding. This ensures I’m not at the mercy of unexpected travel delays. Missing your wedding because of a train delay or unexpected traffic would be a real shame. As for the evening of the wedding, you’ll understand that I prefer not to hit the road after a 10-hour workday.

Custom Quote

I can provide a custom quote if you don’t find what you’re looking for among my packages. Please don’t hesitate to tell me all about your ideas so we can find a way to create the photo shoot of your dreams.

How to contact me

Before signing the contract, I like to have a video call with you so we can discuss your tastes and preferences. This is an important step, as it gives you a chance to meet me for the first time and ensure that you’ll be able to enjoy a stress-free wedding with me by your side. Once we’ve had this call, we’ll sign a contract, and I’ll ask for a 30% deposit to reserve the date. You’ll then receive a guide to help you plan your wedding as effectively as possible, along with a short questionnaire that will help me support you on the big day. What matters most to me is that you have a fantastic day; I see myself as a true source of support since I’ll be by your side all day long. It’s therefore very important that we establish open and honest communication.

FAQ

What do you include in your wedding photography packages?

With each package, you’ll receive a guide to help you plan your wedding. After your wedding, you’ll receive a gallery with your photos in HD and web-friendly formats. A special access code for your wedding guests will also be sent to you, and you’ll have the option to hide any photos you don’t want to share with your loved ones. All packages except the City Hall package include a 50-page wedding photo book.

Do you sell photo books?

A wedding photo book is included in all packages (except the civil ceremony package). You’ll also have the option to purchase books directly from the gallery. I design the books myself. Prices start at €220.

Is this a question that comes up often?

It all starts with an idea. Maybe you want to start a business. Maybe you want to take a hobby to the next level. Or maybe you have a creative project you want to share with the world. Whatever your situation, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

How many photos are included in the gallery?

This is a complicated question because wedding photography isn’t like a studio shoot. The goal is to tell a story, and I can’t tell you whether your story will include 500 or 1,500 photos. Generally, there will be at least 500 photos in your gallery. I try to curate the photos thoughtfully, avoiding duplicates while still letting you choose the shots that capture your expressions best.

What are the delivery times?

Please allow 4 to 6 weeks to receive your photo gallery. This timeframe allows me to step back and reflect on your wedding, rather than editing the photos too soon after the event. This is important if you want a high-quality, carefully curated gallery. The wait is also due to the fact that the wedding season is quite busy. Working too quickly risks delivering sloppy work and failing to retouch the small details that can ruin a photo.

How far in advance should I book for my wedding?

I don’t want to rush you, but I’d say as soon as possible. Some couples book a year or two in advance, so if you’ve already set a date, reach out quickly to the wedding photographers you’ve fallen in love with. Don’t forget that the photos (and videos) are what will remain of your wedding. This isn’t a decision you should make just because no one else was available.

Can you customize a package to meet our specific needs?

Absolutely. Our wedding packages are designed to meet the most common requests, but everything is flexible. Once we’ve spoken on the phone, I’ll send you a quote tailored to your specific needs.

Do you offer engagement photo sessions in addition to wedding services?

Yes! In fact, I highly recommend scheduling an engagement photo shoot before your wedding. The photos can be used for your wedding website and/or your invitations. This will give you a chance to get used to my camera and my style of work before the big day. It will also help me get to know your tastes and preferences better.

Do you provide prints or just digital files?

I will only send you digital files. However, you will be able to print your wedding photos directly from the online gallery. Your guests will also be able to print from the gallery.

What is your copyright policy for wedding photos?

When signing the contract, please let me know if you agree to allow me to use your photos for my marketing materials and those of my other service providers. The images provided are for personal use only; you may not use them for professional purposes.

What happens if you can't attend the wedding for any reason?

That’s a very good question—one I hope I’ll never actually have to answer. I have a list of photographers whose approach is similar to mine and with whom I’ve worked before. I’ll do everything I can to find a replacement in the event of a major conflict. The refund policy is outlined in the contract.

Do you have professional liability insurance?

Yes, I have professional liability insurance through MAIF! It covers me and you in case of damage while I'm working.

Can you give us a list of special moments to capture during our wedding?

Yes, the questionnaire I’m sending you includes a step-by-step guide, but anything is possible. The more I know, the better I can support you on your wedding day. It’s very important to me to be able to accommodate all your wishes, if possible.

Do you have any recommendations for planning the schedule on the wedding day?

Yes, during our call, we’ll discuss the day’s schedule. I’ll give you some tips to make sure the photos turn out as beautiful as possible.

How many years of experience do you have in wedding photography?

I’ve been a freelance wedding photographer in Paris since 2017! That was the year I photographed my first wedding.

What advice would you give to help the bride and groom feel more relaxed in front of the camera on their wedding day?

To choose a wedding photographer they trust. I think that’s the key to feeling relaxed on the big day. Trust allows the bride and groom to let their guard down on their wedding day and fully enjoy every moment.
