Photographer in Paris

My name is Jennifer, but everyone calls me Jenny. My father, who is English, chose this lovely British name for me. I’m the mom of two adorable little girls (yes, I’m 100% impartial on this matter). I live at the foot of Montmartre Hill, and I love organizing photo shoots in Montmartre, a neighborhood I’m particularly fond of.

Even though motherhood doesn’t define me entirely, it plays an essential role in my life. Watching my daughters grow up, discover the world, and flourish has inspired me to focus on maternity and wedding photography, placing moments of happiness at the heart of my work. I thrive in my work and in the people I meet, and above all, I love working in a cheerful atmosphere. Being part of the important events in your lives is a source of fulfillment for me and gives my work its true meaning.

As a wedding photographer in Paris, I take a very journalistic approach to wedding photography. I love telling a story through my photos, capturing the emotions, the tears of joy from your loved ones, the children’s laughter, and the hugs. For me, every detail matters.

I love simplicity and love, and I approach all my photo shoots with a great deal of empathy. If you’re familiar with my work, you may have noticed my preference for black and white. This technique allows me to highlight details, expressions, and contrasts. So don’t be surprised to see plenty of black-and-white photos in my wedding album.

I like:

Paris (and living there—yes, really!), walking, cheesecakes, photography (a bit obvious), my family, knitting, traveling, reading, summer and warm weather, embroidery, laughing, doing nothing but always in good company, my cat, overalls, Birkenstocks, red wine AND beer (why choose?).

I don't like:

Pointless meanness, blood sausage, being late, architectural photos, tight-fitting clothes, crocodiles (thanks, Australia), doing my hair, unsolicited advice about my kids.

Where are you based?

I’m based in Paris, at the foot of Montmartre Hill. But I travel throughout France to take your wedding and family photos. I love discovering new regions at every wedding and really enjoy traveling for you! However, I do charge travel fees, so please feel free to ask me for a quote:-)

When did you start taking photos?

I’m not really sure about photography in general—I feel like I’ve always had a camera in my hands. But I started my own wedding and family photography business in 2017.

What is your educational background?

I have a Master’s degree in Visual and Performing Arts from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. While this program didn’t specifically teach me or train me in lifestyle photography, it helped me realize what I loved doing and what I needed to thrive professionally. It also helped me develop the artistic sensibility essential to the profession of photography.
