Who am I?
Before I tell you a little about my approach and how I organize maternity photo sessions, I wanted to introduce myself. It’s important to get to know your family photographer a bit beforehand. After all, this is someone you’re letting into your private life at a time when you might feel a little vulnerable and when it’s important to let your emotions guide you.
My name is Jennifer Buckle. I owe my name to my English dad, who gave me a wonderful gift by speaking only English to me, allowing me to grow up completely bilingual. I’m in my thirties and the proud mom of two little girls who bring so much joy to my life. I’ve been a photographer in Paris since 2017 and have specialized in family photography, maternity photography, and newborn photography since 2019.
My approach
for your maternity photo shoots
I love authenticity, naturalness, and photos that reflect the couple more than the photographer. Of course, I have my own style, but I place great importance on the uniqueness of each couple I photograph in the warmth of their home. So I wouldn’t ask you to wear the latest trendy maternity clothes if they don’t suit you. I love coming to your home, discovering your decor, your tastes, and the first signs of your baby’s imminent arrival. I love it when you’re comfortable enough to whisper sweet nothings to each other and kiss each other on the neck. I’m less keen on forcing you into stiff poses or seeing you feel self-conscious because you haven’t “tidied up” your apartment enough.
