Your Wedding Photographer in Paris

Black-and-white portrait of Jennifer Buckle—wedding photographer in Paris.

My name is Jennifer Buckle. I’m a young Franco-British mom who’s “a little over” 30—or almost 40, if you prefer. I’ve been shooting documentary-style wedding photos in Paris since 2017, based in my neighborhood of Montmartre. It was the birth of my daughters that revealed to me the true meaning of my craft: capturing moments of happiness at the heart of every image. It’s a cliché, and yet so true.

I don't make you strike stiff, posed poses. I blend into the background and capture your day as it unfolds, with an artistic and sensitive eye, paying attention to the details that everyone else misses and to the light—which makes all the difference. I explain why in this article: why I never make my couples pose.

I enjoy working in French just as much as I do in English, which is a real asset for bilingual and international weddings in Paris.

If you want photos that will still move you 30 years from now, let's talk.

Photography is about capturing moments, turning a fraction of a second into a lasting memory. And what could be more wonderful than making moments of joy last forever!

To me, wedding and family photojournalismis a gift you give to your future. A gift that will bring you just as much joy in two years as it will in thirty. A gift for future generations.

My name is Jennifer Buckle, a wedding photographer based in Paris with a passion for natural and artistic photography. Please contact me so we can get to know each other and see if I’m the right wedding photographer for you.

Your Documentary-Style Wedding Photography in Paris

Your documentary-style wedding photography, in Paris and beyond

A couple walks hand in hand on their wedding day in Paris. The photo was taken by Jennifer Buckle, a wedding photographer in Paris.

Through my photography, I’ll take you back to your wedding day and help you discover the moments you missed. From an intimate wedding in Paris oran elopement to a large wedding with hundreds of guests, I’ll be there to ensure your day reflects who you are and celebrates your love. I focus on the details—like your wedding bouquet—the shared expressions, and the unique moments, such as the exchange of rings.

I'll go anywhere with you, whether it's raining or 35 degrees, whether there are 4 of you or 300. And when we have to go far away, I go too: I even went all the way to Provence for Lionel's wedding.

I take on a limited number of weddings each year so I can give each one the time it deserves. My packages start at €2,650 and all include a photo album. You can find more details on my "Wedding Rates and Packages" page, and you can view complete wedding photo stories in my wedding photo gallery.

Let's Talk About Your Wedding

What the bride and groom think of my work

  • Marie Catherine

Jennifer managed to stay in the background during the ceremony while still capturing all the key moments. Later, during the reception, she was always available to accommodate our various requests. With her natural, cheerful demeanor, she’s a photographer who’s a pleasure to work with. The photos are stunning!

    Thank you so much, Jennifer!

  • Ines Fadela

Jennifer was absolutely amazing as our wedding photographer. The photos are simply stunning! She captured the joy, love, family, and friendship of the most beautiful day of our lives. Every photo perfectly reflects the emotions and precious moments we experienced.

A huge thank you to Jennifer for her talent and professionalism. We would recommend her services without hesitation!

  • Jessica

Jennifer is the epitome of joie de vivre. She’s always in a good mood, with just the right touch of humor that we love. Thank you for this week and your beautiful photos. I highly recommend Jennifer to anyone looking for a skilled photographer to capture their most precious moments.

  • Lionel

Jennifer was already there for our engagement photoshoot in Montmartre when I proposed. So it was only natural that we entrusted her with capturing the memories of our wedding a year later.

Her photos are stunning and perfectly capture this day that meant so much to us. She understood our expectations, put us at ease, and supported us both leading up to and on the big day.

Based in Paris, she made the trip all the way to Provence to be by our side, without a moment’s hesitation, which touched us deeply.

What particularly impressed us was her ability to adapt with great finesse to an unexpected situation. She turned that unplanned moment into something even more beautiful than we had imagined, and captured all the emotion.

Discreet, attentive, and always in the right place at the right time, Jennifer captured the emotions with great sensitivity. Her kindness, gentleness, passion, and smile made all the difference.

Thanks to her, we’ll have precious memories to last a lifetime. A huge THANK YOU, Jennifer 🙏🏼🙏🏼

  • Sabrina

Jennifer is so much more than just a photographer. She has a presence that is both unobtrusive and radiant—always smiling, kind, empathetic, and full of humor. She blends in naturally with the guests, capturing every moment without ever making us feel like we’re being photographed. She manages to be everywhere at once while remaining incredibly tactful.

This was exactly what we wanted: a photographer who felt like a friend, without ever forcing the moments. And the result exceeded all our expectations. Her photos are absolutely sublime, full of life, emotion, and tenderness. She has a rare eye for detail and a unique ability to capture the essence of a moment. Words fail to describe how we feel when we look at the images she’s already shared with us—about fifty delivered the very day after our wedding. Each photo is a vivid memory, a fragment of pure emotion.

When we think back on all the kindness, warmth, and professionalism Jennifer showed throughout the weekend, we are extraordinarily grateful. It was a truly wonderful encounter, both on a personal and artistic level.

Jennifer doesn’t just take photos. She makes sure everything goes smoothly, that we feel comfortable, and that we fully enjoy the moment. Her good humor is contagious, her kindness sincere, and all our guests loved her.

We truly appreciate how lucky we were to have crossed paths with her and to have entrusted our memories to her. We recommend her without the slightest hesitation, with our eyes closed.

The answers to all your questions about your wedding photographer in Paris

Frequently Asked Questions from Your Wedding Photographer

Frequently Asked Questions for Engaged Couples

How much does your wedding photography package cost?
My packages start at €2,640 for about 6 hours of coverage and go up to €6,000 for three days of festivities. All packages include an engagement session, the complete photo gallery, and a photo book. Each package can be tailored to your special day. You can find more details on my wedding pricing and packages page.

How do I book a date?
We start with a video call to get to know each other and make sure we click—this is essential for a documentary photo shoot. The booking is then finalized with a contract and a deposit, which secures your date. I have 5 dates left in 2027. Check to see if your date is available.

What do you do if it rains on the wedding day?
I take photos in all kinds of weather. Rain and overcast skies create soft light and often result in very moving photos. I’ve written an article about weddings in the rain in Paris, and another about weddings in the heat.

What’s a typical wedding day like with you?
I arrive during the preparations. This is a very important time for me, because it allows me to get to know you better and anticipate when I can help you later on. During the ceremony and reception, I’m discreet but attentive, and I capture every laugh, every tear, and every moment of joy—without asking you to pose. I explain why in this article: why I never ask my couples to pose.

How do you organize the photo schedule?
Before the wedding, we work together to create a schedule that fits into your day. We identify the key moments and the time needed for the couple’s photo session and group photos, and I’ll adjust on the day of the wedding if the schedule changes.

Is the engagement session included?
Yes, it’s included in all my packages. It’s the best way to get used to the camera and get to know me before the big day. Lionel and his partner had theirs in Montmartre on the day of the proposal. You can see a couples’ photo shoot in Montmartre.

How do you choose locations for couple photos?
I prefer locations that hold special meaning for you: the neighborhood where you met, a park, a bustling street, or a quiet spot. What matters is that you feel comfortable there.

We don't feel comfortable in front of the camera—is that a problem?
That's the case for most of the couples I photograph. I don't ask you to pose: you just go about your day, talk to each other, laugh, and I capture what's happening. That's also what the engagement session is for.

Do you offer photo albums?
Yes, a photo book made in France is included in all packages: 20 pages for the “Short Story” package, and 50 pages for the others. The “A Whole Story” package also includes 2 30x40 cm fine art prints, and the “Love at First Sight” package includes 5 fine art prints. Details are on my pricing page.

How does the photo selection and delivery process work?
After the wedding, I sort through and edit the photos one by one. You’ll receive access to a private online gallery where you can download your high-resolution images, share them with loved ones, and keep certain photos just for yourselves. Delivery time: 8 weeks. To view complete wedding albums, visit my wedding photos page.

How do you handle the unexpected?
Delays, rain showers, and changes of plan are all part of a wedding. I stay flexible and adapt so that no important moment is missed. In his testimonial, Lionel shares how an unexpected event on their wedding day became one of their fondest memories.

Do you travel outside of Paris?
Yes. I mainly take photos in Paris and the Île-de-France region, and I travel all over France: I’ve gone as far as Provence for Lionel and Marion’s wedding, and to Corsica for Serena and Jeremy’s. Let’s talk about your venue.

Do you photograph bilingual weddings?
Yes. I’m Franco-British and work equally well in both French and English, which is invaluable for international weddings and families on both sides of the Channel.

Do you photograph small weddings?
Yes, whether there are 4 or 300 of you. I also photograph intimate weddings in Paris and elopements.

If you have any other questions, please email me. You'll find more ideas in my articles about weddings and on lovely blogs like La Sœur de la Mariée.
